Global Service by WinGD will deliver scheduled maintenance for the dual-fuel LNG engines alongside continuous, in-service support through the WinGD Integrated Digital Expert (WiDE) remote diagnostics platform. By combining planned maintenance with continuous digital monitoring and direct access to WinGD engine expertise, the agreement will support maintenance planning, engine availability, and reliable operation throughout the vessels’ service lives.
WinGD will collaborate with its integrated service partner CMS (CSSC Global Service) to deliver these services, jointly building the CSSC Global Service (CSGS) brand of China State Shipbuilding Corporation. Both companies are subsidiaries of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and will work closely together to deliver services that are planned, supervised, and executed in accordance with WinGD technical standards, procedures, and quality requirements. The collaboration brings together WinGD’s OEM engine expertise with CMS’s established service capabilities, strengthening the support available to customers in China and to Chinese-operated vessels trading globally.
“Our engines are trusted by shipowners for their reliability and performance. Through Global Service by WinGD, that support now extends across the full engine lifecycle, with our experts providing service and support wherever our engines are in operation. As the number of vessels operating with WinGD engines continues to grow, Global Service by WinGD enables us to build longer-term relationships with operators and apply our engine knowledge throughout the years that follow delivery,” said Rudi Holtbecker, Regional Head Global Service – Asia & Middle East, WinGD.
“We are delighted to enter this long-term agreement with COSCO Shipping LNG (Hong Kong) Ship Management, and to work with our partner CMS, to combine WinGD’s OEM expertise with strong service capabilities in China and internationally. This gives the operator consistent, expert support for safe, reliable, and efficient engine operation throughout the ten-year agreement.”
COSCO Shipping LNG (Hong Kong) Ship Management said: “Meeting our customers’ needs for reliable, safe, and efficient deliveries of LNG is paramount to us. The ten-year partnership with WinGD brings peace of mind that our ships’ engines will be monitored and maintained by the engine experts—combining planned maintenance, continuous monitoring, and technical expertise to support reliable vessel operations over the long term.”
Yanwei, President at CMS, said: “This agreement demonstrates the strength of combining WinGD’s engine expertise with CMS’s service capabilities. Working together, we can provide responsive, high-quality support throughout the vessels’ operating lives, giving customers access to the expertise and resources they need, when and where they need them.”
Global Service by WinGD brings together field service, technical support, spare parts, and digital expertise to provide ship operators with coordinated lifecycle support directly from the engine designer. Its continued expansion reflects WinGD’s growing installed base and an increasing focus on supporting engine performance, reliability, and availability throughout the operational lifecycle.
In China, collaboration with CMS strengthens this proposition by combining WinGD’s engine and vessel energy system expertise with established service capabilities within the CSSC group, creating a strong foundation for supporting Chinese operators both domestically and across their international operations.
