Conidia Bioscience has launched FUELSTAT® One, a new test kit to join the FUELSTAT range designed to rapidly detect microbial contamination in marine fuel to prevent operational downtime and safety issues. FUELSTAT One can be used throughout the fuel supply chain, from storage terminal to fuel tank, offering a comprehensive overview of the fuel's quality.

Subsea specialist Sulmara has been awarded funding by the Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC) to develop an over-the-horizon (OTH) uncrewed surface vessel (USV) with the ability to launch and recover towed sensor packages. The project will deliver a platform designed and certified to the standard set out in the recently released UK MCA Workboat Code 3 and will be certified to work OTH in UK waters.

Rem Offshore has signed a contract for the design and construction of a state-of-the-art CSOV (Commissioning Service Operation Vessel) with VARD. This is the third CSOV VARD will deliver to REM Offshore. The first two, REM Power and REM Wind, were delivered in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

The Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonization (GCMD) has successfully completed its final supply chain trial for biofuel blended with very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO). This marks the end of a series of trials initiated in July 2022 as part of a larger pilot to develop a framework to provide quality, quantity and GHG abatement assurances for drop-in fuels.
