NS United Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (NSU) and Vale International SA (Vale) have reached an agreement to install rotor sails manufactured by Anemoi Marine Technologies Ltd. (Anemoi) on 400,000 dwt-type VLOC, NSUTUBARAO (the Ship), which has been engaged in a long-term transportation contract between NSU and Vale since its delivery in September 2020.

German family-owned shipping company, Reederei Bernd Sibum, has placed an order with Damen Shipyards Group for the construction of four Combi Freighter (CF) 3850s. With the clear aim of minimizing the environmental impact of its activities and driving forward the energy transition, the shipping company has decided to switch to green hydrogen as its main source of energy.

Jan De Nul Group signed a contract with the Valencia port authority for a new container quay in the port's northern extension. The maritime contractor will carry out the works in a joint venture with Acciona Construcción and Grupo Bertolín. In her evaluation, the port authority appreciated the circular use of dredged material. 

Zelim, an Edinburgh-based maritime safety and survival innovator, is cooperating with CASARA, Canada’s Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, following the successful demonstration of its ZOE Intelligent Detection and Tracking system. The trials took place in September, in British Columbia, Canada. during the National SAREX 24 Search and Rescue exercise.

Damen Shipyards, Windcat and CMB.TECH are celebrating the launch of the first of six Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). The launch marks the inauguration of Windcat’s “Elevation Series” of future-proof offshore wind farm maintenance and support vessels, which have been designed in close collaboration with Windcat and CMB.TECH.
