Furuno has introduced a new series of commercial Radars designed to streamline operations on the bridge and enhance safety and reliability at sea. The FAR2XX8MK2 Radar series is designed to provide clearer and more accurate Radar images of surroundings while increasing reliability and decreasing the overall cost of ownership with simplified maintenance.

Ta San Shang Marine Co. Ltd. (TSSM), the joint venture between Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. of Japan, and Ta Tong Marine Co., Ltd. of Taiwan, has ordered a second Damen CSOV (Commissioning Service Operation Vessel) 9020. With a delivery date planned for end 2026, TSSM will deploy the new vessel in Taiwanese offshore wind farms.

In Indonesia, the first of series Damen CSD600 has started operation. The distinctive Cutter Suction Dredger is the first of Damen’s comprehensive new dredger range to be delivered. It was transported from Rotterdam, the Netherlands to Indonesia as deck cargo on a heavy lift carrier.

Bollinger Shipyards (Bollinger) praises the White House’s announcement of the Icebreaker Collaboration Effort (“ICE Pact”), a trilateral agreement between the United States, Canada and Finland to contribute capacity and know-how for building polar icebreakers for the United States and its allies, and to counter the expanding presence of our nation’s adversaries and strategic competitors in the Arctic region.

Damen Shipyards has secured a contract to build a sixth Commissioning Service Operation Vessel for offshore personnel transfer provider Windcat, thus completing the six-ship ‘Elevation Series’ of future-proof CSOVs. The contract marks the further strengthening of the working relationship between Damen, Windcat and CMB.TECH.

On April 5, Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract with Toyota Tsusho for the delivery of four vessels. The order consists of two ASD Tugs 2813: a Pushy Cat 1004 and a Stan Pilot 1905. The vessels will be provided to the Ministry of Transport Angola as part of a Japanese Government funded port development project in Namibe.
