Archer has further strengthened its position in Argentina through the award of a new three-year drilling contract with YPF, with an additional two-year option. The contract provides for the addition of rig DLS-160 to Archer's operations in Vaca Muerta, while securing the continued deployment of rig DLS-163 in support of YPF's ongoing development activities in the basin. The contract expands Archer's operating fleet of rigs in the region and has an estimated value of $100–110 million over the full contract term, including the optional extension years.

As Vaca Muerta advances toward becoming a key driver of Argentina’s energy future, Archer remains committed to providing the technologies, expertise, and operational excellence required to meet increasing development activity and production targets. The company continues to invest in modern drilling solutions that enhance reliability, improve well delivery performance, and strengthen safety outcomes across the field.

Gerardo Molinaro, VP of Land Drilling at Archer, commented: “The deployment of additional drilling rigs reflects our long-term commitment to YPF and Vaca Muerta and the sustainable growth of Argentina’s energy sector. We are proud to continue supporting YPF in achieving its development objectives while contributing to the advancement of one of the most important energy projects in the world.”
