AKOFS Offshore has completed the refinancing of $300 million, with DNB Bank ASA and Sparebanken Sør-Norge ASA as lenders. The loan agreement is a reducing revolving credit facility with a tenor of four years.

In addition to refinancing the existing loan arrangements for AKOFS Seafarer and AKOFS Santos, the loan agreement will also provide AKOFS Offshore with the financing required to exercise the purchase option of the Aker Wayfarer, which is currently leased from Ocean Yield ASA.

AKOFS Offshore has today issued a formal notification that it exercises the purchase option at the end of the lease period in Q3 2027 against a payment of $57.7 million. Aker Wayfarer is currently operating under contract with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) in Brazil and was awarded a new four-year contract in Q1 2026, with expected commencement in Q3 2027. This contract added approximately $330 million to AKOFS Offshore’s backlog.
