All operations, contracts, and existing services will continue without interruption
CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Augustus Global, LLC, a leading defense industry investor and operator, today announced that it has successfully completed the acquisition of Omega Air, Inc., and its affiliate Omega Aerial Refueling Services, Inc. (collectively, Omega), a global leader in contracted air-to-air refueling (AAR), delivering more missions and more fuel than any other commercial carrier in the world.
Since 2000, Omega has served the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Air National Guard, Joint Special Operations Command, and allied militaries, whenever and wherever needed.
Under the terms of the agreement, Omega will become a subsidiary of Augustus Global, LLC, and continue to operate under its established brand name. Importantly, Omega will maintain its current operations, contracts, office locations, and existing services. Customers, partners, and suppliers will experience no disruption in service, and all existing contracts and support systems will remain in place. Leadership from both organizations will work together to ensure a smooth transition and explore long-term collaborative opportunities.

Headquartered in Arlington, VA, with an MRO facility in San Antonio, TX, the company’s maintenance, engineering, and logistics team blends military and civil aviation expertise. Flight simulation facilities in Las Vegas and Dallas-Fort Worth are FAA certified, supporting pilot currency and qualification training for both military and commercial operators.
The idea for Omega was born in the 1980s when aviation entrepreneurs Ulick and Desmond McEvaddy, founders and owners of Omega Air and Omega Aerial Refueling Services, identified the U.S. Department of Defense’s need for commercial air-to-air refueling and the U.S. Navy’s budget requests for a strategic AAR capability. Their vision: provide commercial refueling to the Navy and Marine Corps on a pay-by-the-hour basis.
