During the visit, Chief Executive Officer Karl Johnny Hersvik highlighted the need for long-term and stable framework conditions for the Norwegian oil and gas sector.
Hersvik emphasized that Norway faces important choices in order to maintain and further develop its position as a stable and long-term energy supplier to Europe.
The committee also visited Aker BP’s Integrated Operations Centre in Jåttåvågen, Stavanger, where digital tools, real-time data, and collaboration across disciplines contribute to safer and more efficient operations.
The visit provided the committee with closer insight into how Aker BP works with technology and new ways of working to increase value creation on the Norwegian continental shelf, while at the same time aiming to reduce emissions.
