DSIT Solutions will introduce its new and innovative Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) concept at CNE 2026 – a solution for building a continuous, long-range underwater picture.

DSIT’s Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) solution is a combination of advanced and proven sonar systems that enables the detection and classification of underwater threats such as submarines, midget submarines, Swimmer Delivery Vehicles (SDVs), Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs), and Special Forces divers.

The Solution includes the following systems:

DSIT’s AquaShield (DDS) and PointShield (PDDS) for Diver and UUV detection provide autodetection capabilities for a relatively short distance with high-resolution detection in critical areas. They deliver very low false alarm rates with sensitive threat detection, and do not require a real-time operator.

DSIT’s BlueShield™ – which will be lunched at CNE – is an advanced Counter-UUV sonar with a medium-range, seabed-mounted active/passive system. Derived from DSIT’s globally proven BlackFish Hull Mounted Sonar (HMS), the system is specifically designed to secure critical areas of interest including borders, ports, and naval bases.

DSIT’s SeaShield is the unique and most advanced building block of the UDA solution. A fixed, low-frequency sonar system, which combines active and passive modes and enables automatic detection and tracking in all modes. The system’s distinctive structure and advanced acoustic sound processing techniques enable the detection of underwater contacts at very long ranges. This capability generates comprehensive situational awareness, supporting underwater coverage of large areas and protection of vital areas of interest such as straits and access routes to ports and oil terminals.

The information collected from all sonar systems – which have overlapping range and detection capabilities – is sent to a unified Command & Control center where a wholistic picture of what is happening underwater is built. The information is processed through data-merging with AI support.

DSIT’s UDA solution provides a detection capability that enables continuous 24/7/365 underwater dominance, with broad coverage while saving on use of resources such as ships and helicopters.

Amir Alon, DSIT’s VP Marketing and Business Development, said: “The underwater domain is facing a rapidly increasing number of advanced unmanned underwater threats. Our UDA solution gives a response to these growing challenges – delivering continuous, long-range, layered detection that enables comprehensive underwater control.”
