Tenaris has been awarded two contracts from Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) for Phase 3 of the Sakarya Gas Project, building on its role across earlier phases of the project. The complex, ultra-deepwater development is located in water depths of approximately 2,150 meters about 170 km offshore Türkiye in the Black Sea.

The scope of the Phase 3 contracts covers the supply of both seamless and welded pipes for multiple applications. Tenaris will deliver 22,700 tons of seamless pipes for flowlines and for a 62 km monoethylene glycol (MEG) pipeline, as well as 87,800 tons of welded pipes for a 180 km export pipeline. Additionally, 7,700 tons of pipe will be supplied for production risers, MEG risers, and the export pipeline.

The seamless pipes will be produced at Tenaris’s Dalmine mill in Italy and will include anode pads and buckle arrestors, along with TenarisShawcor three-layer polypropylene (3LPP) anticorrosion coating applied at Tenaris’s coating facility in Villamarzana, Italy. The welded portion of the contract will be manufactured at Tenaris’s Confab mill in Pindamonhangaba, Brazil, and will feature TenarisShawcor 3LPP anticorrosion coating and anode pads installation. A 1.2-kilometer section of the export pipeline will also include concrete weight coating to enhance stability.

Both contracts are executed under Tenaris’s One Line® service model, integrating pipe manufacturing with comprehensive pipeline solutions that include TenarisShawcor coating services.

“Tenaris’s One Line® model is a comprehensive portfolio of flexible service offerings that fast-track dynamic and technically complex projects to deliver reliable solutions that our customers rely on,” expands Davide Mengoli, Tenaris Commercial Senior Director, Pipelines & Services for the Mediterranean, Caspian, Middle East & Asia.

In addition to the pipeline scope, Tenaris will supply 10,000 tons of offshore drilling casing, partly coated with Dopeless® technology—a mill-applied, high performance, dry lubricant that simplifies handling, eliminates traditional thread and storage compounds, and enhances operational reliability and safety.

“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with the TPAO on their most technically demanding offshore project to date,” said Olga Volkova, Tenaris Commercial Senior Director for Eastern Europe and the Caspian Sea. “Tenaris’s offshore solutions, used in projects like the Sakarya Gas Project, enhance efficiency and safety by providing run-ready pipes without entering the rig floor red zone.”
