The collaboration enhances mobile connectivity across the Gulf of America and the North Sea, delivering reliable, high-quality roaming for maritime networks, offshore energy personnel and cruise passengers.
Under the agreement, Tampnet is leveraging the full iBASIS one-stop-shop roaming suite, including 4G LTE and GRX support, financial and data clearing and dedicated professional services to support its fast-growing inbound-roaming business. Alongside delivering all core roaming services, iBASIS’s engineering and professional services teams ensured a smooth core migration.

Previously, maritime workers and cruise passengers avoided connecting to offshore networks due to high roaming costs. With Roam Like Home applied, a significant increase in offshore data usage is expected as adoption grows.
