Wind Osprey and team have completed the installation of the very first turbine at East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm in the UK.
When fully operational by the end of this year, the East Anglia THREE will have a total capacity of around 1.4 GW and capable of powering more than 1.3 million homes with reliable, homegrown energy.
Cadeler will execute the full transportation and installation campaign of all 95 Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SG 14-236 turbines – each standing around 262 metres tall, with blades stretching 115 metres across the sky.
This will be Cadeler’s first project with ScottishPower Renewables, Iberdrola and Masdar – and a strong starting point for future collaboration.
For this campaign, Cadeler is deploying two wind installation jack-up vessels in parallel. Wind Osprey will very soon be joined by Wind Pace – enabling a streamlined installation program across the project. This will be Wind Pace’s first project in European waters since her delivery last year. Built to install the next generation turbines, she brings increased capacity and operational flexibility – supporting efficient installation at scale.
