The Beloe More recently joined its sister vessel Severnaya Dvina in the Port of Sabetta, northern Russia. The 2,000 m3 hopper dredger was delivered from stock to FSUE ROSMORPORT. The customized hopper dredger will perform maintenance duties and execute capital dredging in the newly created harbor.

UniSea AS, a software developer and consultancy specializing in solutions for the shipping industry, has announced that it has been selected by Tidewater Inc as their partner in the digitalizing and standardizing of Tidewater’s business processes related to health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) and operations. The UniSea software suite will be implemented on all Tidewater vessels and in all offices in one of the largest contract’s in UniSea’s 21-year history.

Damen has delivered the third and fourth units in a four-vessel contract to leading towage company Smit Lamnalco. All four vessels are Damen’s popular and powerful ASD Tug 3212 class with a bollard pull of 80 tonnes. The order was placed in November 2017 and, with stock boats available, the first two were delivered in June and these latest arrivals in October.

The MV Tasmanic Winter has nearly finished its voyage from China to Rotterdam with 24 new vessels on board built at Damen yards in Changde and Yichang. In line with its standard practice, Damen is transporting these in batches to the Netherlands where most of them will be ready for sale to customers seeking the shortest possible delivery times, including customization when required.
