Subsea 7 has announced an agreement with Petrobras to extend by one year the current long-term day-rate contracts for three pipelay support vessels (PLSVs) operating offshore Brazil.

Independent global completions service company Tendeka and diagnostic specialists TGT have agreed a partnership to mitigate the costly consequences of sand control failure in wells.

Subsea 7 has been awarded a sizeable⁽¹⁾ contract for work offshore Trinidad and Tobago. The contract will be recorded in backlog in the third quarter.

Aberdeen-based, maritime technology and consultancy business, Tymor Marine, has successfully completed a remote deadweight audit for a semi-submersible oil and gas drilling rig in Norway.  The project was conducted for a leading international provider of offshore drilling services.
 


C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has completed the installation of several stem clamps for BP beneath the Mad Dog Spar in the Gulf of Mexico, utilizing its subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) remotely operated vehicle (ROV) vessel, MV Dove.

Fugro has completed a multidisciplinary site characterization for the prestigious Male’ to Thilafushi Link project, the planned bridge between Male’ City and Thilafushi in the Maldives.

Appointed by Subsea 7 for the design, manufacture and delivery of two Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) Jumpers, Airborne Oil & Gas has made successful inroads into the Western Australia oil and gas industry with its TCP technology being used for the first time in the region.

In partnership with Solstad and Oceanpact, Fugro has been awarded three long-term contracts by Petrobras to provide remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for a variety of subsea activities in Brazil. All three contracts are for 3-year firm periods with additional 1-year options.

Equinor has conducted an in-depth analysis of the wells drilled at Martin Linge before the company took over as the operator of the field from Total in 2018. This review concludes that several of the wells do not have the necessary barriers. Equinor therefore plans to drill new wells in order to ensure safe production. 

Aberdeen-headquartered Unity, Europe’s largest provider of well integrity technology, services, and engineering solutions, has been awarded a three-year contract extension, by a UK oil and gas operator, to continue its work on three northern North Sea platforms.

CGG announces the commencement of a new multi-client 3D survey in the Northern North Sea. The survey will provide a second azimuth over CGG’s existing Northern Viking Graben (NVG) multi-client 3D survey and extend into open acreage on offer in the UK 32nd License Round.

A drone flew a 3D-printed part for the lifeboat system from the Mongstad base to the Troll A platform in the North Sea. The operation was completed efficiently and according to plan.

For pipeline inspection in the Gulf of Mexico, global maritime, survey and ROV services operator, ACSM, chose an electric Saab Seaeye Panther XT robotic vehicle over other ROV vehicle alternatives.

On behalf of the Snøhvit Unit partners, Equinor has awarded Aibel a front-end engineering and design contract (FEED) for modification of the Hammerfest LNG plant in connection with the Snøhvit Future project.

Aberdeen based Boskalis Subsea Services, has announced the award and successful completion of a multi-million-pound contract awarded by Perenco UK. The contract was to support a pipeline project in the UK’s Southern North Sea basin.   

McDermott International Ltd. has been awarded a contract by Delta Offshore Energy to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) services for a subsea gas pipeline. The pipeline will connect a regassification platform, located approximately 22 miles (35 kilometers) offshore, to the planned 3,200 MW power plant in Bac Lieu Province, Vietnam.
