Danos has been awarded a contract with Shell Exploration and Production Company, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, to provide a production workforce across Shell production assets in the Gulf of Mexico, including Appomattox, Auger, Enchilada, Salsa, Mars, Ursa, Olympus, Perdido and Stones.

Aker Solutions has developed a modified workover system that enables faster and more cost-effective planned interventions. The concept will first be applied on Equinor’s Visund field in the North Sea.

Aqueos Corporation has recently mobilized a subsea platform inspection campaign in the U.S Gulf of Mexico for multiple clients. The campaign includes completing various levels of subsea inspection in accordance with API RP2A Level II/III guidelines utilizing Aqueos’ Mixed Gas and Surface Air diving capabilities and in-house ROV.

Neodrill,  a leader in pre-rig technology solutions, has together with Baker Hughes, a leading energy technology company, performed the world’s first cut and recover operation for Wintershall Dea Norge in the Norwegian Sea. Rig time was reduced by an estimated 12 hours, with work to cut the surface casing moved off the critical path of the rig schedule.

Fugro has won a 3-year inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) contract with SEAMEC LIMITED (Seamec) to support their asset management project for ONGC off the west coast of India. Fugro will provide Seamec with work class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for 3 years from mid-June, with the option of a 2-year extension.

Petrobras has started the production of oil and natural gas from the shared deposit of Atapu, through platform P-70, in the eastern portion of the Santos Basin pre-salt, near the Búzios field. Atapu will contribute to the growth of production in the pre-salt, which is becoming increasingly relevant for Petrobras.

Aker BP, on behalf of the Wellhead Platform Alliance, has awarded liquid handling and pump specialist PG Flow Solutions a contract to supply a number of pump systems for the normally unmanned wellhead platform to be used at the planned Hod field development in the North Sea. 

Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. has been awarded a contract by a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico to deliver a 20,000PSI Subsea Closure Device (SCD) and an associated multi-year contract for storage, maintenance, and technical services should an offshore subsea well-control incident require SCD mobilization.

Maersk Drilling is joining a new CO2 storage consortium formed by INEOS Oil & Gas Denmark and Wintershall Dea. The consortium is maturing one of the most progressed carbon capture and storage projects inside Danish jurisdiction and targets the development of CO2 storage capacity offshore Denmark based on reusing discontinued offshore oil and gas fields for permanent CO2 storage.
