Acoustic Data, a global leader in wireless well technology, has developed a new slickline deployed high expansion retainer for cement and metal alloy plug and abandonment (P&A) applications. In the case of new-generation metal alloy plugs, the HEX-Retainer™ can be integrated with the company’s SonicGauge™ Plug Verification System (PVS) for real-time long-term barrier integrity monitoring purposes.

Hess  announced it has made a final investment decision to proceed with development of the Payara Field offshore Guyana after the development plan received approval from the government of Guyana. Payara is the third oil development on the Stabroek Block; gross production capacity from the three developments is expected to reach approximately 560,000 barrels of oil per day in 2024.

Equinor and its license partners Petoro AS and Wellesley Petroleum AS have found oil and gas in the Swisher prospect. Recoverable resources are estimated to be in the range of 2-6 million standard cubic meters of oil equivalent, corresponding to 13-38 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Equinor and partners Petoro, Vår Energi and ConocoPhillips Skandinavia have decided to develop the Breidablikk field in the North Sea. The partnership will submit the plan for development and operation to the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, in addition to awarding contracts for subsea facilities and upgrading of the Grane platform.
