Equinor and its license partners Source Energy AS and Wellesley Petroleum AS have discovered gas and condensate in exploration well 30/2-5 S Atlantis. Based on preliminary estimates the proven reserves are between 3 and 10 million standard cubic meters of recoverable oil equivalent, corresponding to 19-63 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Kvaerner has been awarded by Allseas a contract to dismantle and recycle three large topsides, three jackets and four bridges from the Valhall and Hod fields, with a combined weight of 33 000 tonnes, as well as options for another 5 000 tonnes. The assignment will at peak provide work for around 100 persons.

Halliburton Company and TechnipFMC  has introduced Odassea™, the first distributed acoustic sensing solution for subsea wells. The technology platform enables operators to execute intervention-less seismic imaging and reservoir diagnostics to reduce total cost of ownership while improving reservoir knowledge.

Equinor has, on behalf of the license partners, awarded APPLY, a framework agreement for engineering and installation services on the North Sea Statfjord field. According to the agreement the parties will collaborate in new ways while carrying out the work on Statfjord safely and efficiently.

Eni have successfully drilled the first exploration well in the North El Hammad license, in the conventional Egyptian waters of the Nile Delta, on the prospect called Bashrush. The discovery further extends to the west the gas potential of the Abu Madi formation reservoirs discovered and produced from the so-called "Great Nooros Area."
