World ECDIS Day (WED) has announced its 2019 event date - 25th September 2019, and program outline. The 2019 conference, a one-day event in Hamburg, will look at insights and debate on ‘Digital Culture Beyond ECDIS’. The challenges, solutions, and advantages of digitization will be addressed with representatives of different stakeholder groups and the conference will be moderated by Capt. Paul Hailwood.

On Monday, 17th June, heavy-lift vessel Black Marlin departed Shanghai. On deck with eighteen Concordia Damen inland shipping vessel hulls and a Damen Crane Barge 6324, bound for Rotterdam. Concordia Damen regularly conducts such heavy-lift transportations as a means of providing its customers with cost-efficient vessels.

Providing assurance for DP operations lies at the heart of the presentation being given by Captain Andy Goldsmith, Technical Adviser – Marine, the International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA) at the 9th Dynamic Positioning Asia 2019 conference and exhibition in Singapore 2-4 July.
