Survitec has restructured its offshore division to better serve customers with assets operating in the oil, gas and wind (renewable) energy sectors.

The reorganization of the business unit coincides with renewed activity in the offshore industry following the market downturn, together with Survitec’s overall strategy to hone its focus within key sectors.

Deep Trekker Inc, a Canadian based global provider and manufacturer of portable and durable submersible ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles), has announced that it has opened a new company office in Puerto Montt, Chile.

The transaction facilitates the next phase of ICR’s inspection service offering, augmenting its existing leading global provision of integrated maintenance and integrity solutions to the oil and gas, power, chemical and nuclear industries. The acquisition also strengthens ICR’s infrastructure to support additional growth and expansion through the company’s existing established networks.

CSA Ocean Sciences (CSA), under a subcontract to Jacobs, today announced the completion of a comprehensive environmental monitoring survey, that included physical, biological, and chemical field sampling and data collection for 301(h) waiver demonstrations at the Aguadilla, Arecibo, and Ponce Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (RWWTP) outfalls offshore Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Aqueduct Authority (PRASA).

Teledyne RD Instruments (TRDI) announces the launch of its new next-generation Doppler Velocity Log (DVL), the Tasman DVL. In 1995, Teledyne RDI designed and manufactured the industry’s first DVL, the Workhorse Navigator. The Navigator remains the gold standard, with thousands of units delivered globally to provide precision, onboard navigation for subsea and surface vehicles.

Oceaneering International, Inc., and Pacific Drilling have entered into an industry-first, five-year Digital Services Package agreement to provide Pacific’s customers with better reliability and improved throughput enabling streaming video and real-time data. This will allow the provision of emerging services such as remote ROV piloting, surveying, and automation aboard Pacific Drilling’s high-specification drillship fleet.
