Competency Cloud LLC has announced that its CompetencyIQ® management system was recently described by the UK Health and Safety Executive as “industry leading.” The accolade resulted from a project with a major North Sea operator, undertaken by leading energy industry consultancy, Boxley Group.
The U.K. Health and Safety Executive - Hazardous Installations Directorate (HID), recognized as having some of the world’s most stringent competency assurance requirements, recently conducted this rigorous inspection of one of the largest North Sea operators. The HID deemed the operator’s drilling and completions competency management program to be fully compliant with UK regulatory requirements and assigned a sought-after “Near Exemplary” compliance score.
CompetencyIQ®’s patent-pending technology and processes were judged by HID as critical to the inspection’s success. Using predictive measurement to objectively gauge competencies and yield transparency across a business, the program has helped accelerate informed decision-making and mitigate risk at all levels, from team composition in high-risk operations to strategic workforce and business planning.
