The Norwegian authorities have granted Repsol consent for a new start-up of the Yme field in the North Sea. Yme will once again be producing oil, 20 years after the last time the field was on stream. Planned start-up will be in the second half of 2021.

Eni announces an oil find in Upper Miocene sequences on the Sayulita Exploration Prospect in Block 10 in the mid-deep water of the Cuenca Salina Sureste Basin, Offshore Mexico. According to preliminary estimates the new find may contain between 150 and 200Mboe in place.

The Vigdis subsea field has produced oil via the Snorre field for 24 years. When the field came on stream in 1997, it was expected to produce 200 million barrels. So far, it has produced twice as much, and based on new estimates the recoverable resources are 475 million barrels.
