The Norwegian authorities have granted Repsol consent for a new start-up of the Yme field in the North Sea. Yme will once again be producing oil, 20 years after the last time the field was on stream. Planned start-up will be in the second half of 2021.

The Vigdis subsea field has produced oil via the Snorre field for 24 years. When the field came on stream in 1997, it was expected to produce 200 million barrels. So far, it has produced twice as much, and based on new estimates the recoverable resources are 475 million barrels.

The topside of the normally unmanned wellhead platform for the Hod field has been transported from Aker Solutions in Verdal to the Aker BP operated field. This is the second project for the Fixed Facilities Alliance, which was established in the spring of 2017.
