With 560 beds the Johan Sverdrup living quarters topside is the largest of its kind in Norway. The fourth and last platform for the first phase of the giant project is now ready for sail-away from Kværner’s yard on Stord to the Johan Sverdrup field, where it will be installed in a single lift.

A benchmark installation of three energy storage systems by the technology group Wärtsilä onboard an offshore construction vessel features, for the first time ever, energy and load sharing capability. On Saturday, the 23rd of February 2019, Damen Shipyards Cape Town (DSCT) hosted a keel laying ceremony, marking the start of construction on the first of three Multi-mission Inshore Patrol Vessels (MMIPVs) for the South African Navy.
