On March 4th at Damen Shipyards Singapore, Seaways International took delivery of two Damen Fast Crew Suppliers (FCS) 2206. The Dubai-headquartered company has previously operated a Damen FCS 3307. Seaways International specializes in offshore marine services and will use the new vessels to transport crew to offshore energy locations in West Africa.

Delmar Systems, Inc. successfully completed an 8-line disconnect of the mooring system on Seadrill’s West Phoenix semi-submersible drilling rig on the UK Continental Shelf. The rig disconnection was performed in an impressive two and a half hours without needing AHTS vessel assistance. The West Phoenix is currently under contract with Equinor for a three well campaign all of which are using Delmar’s Releasable Anchor Mooring System.

ExxonMobil says it has updated its growth plans and expects annual earnings potential to increase by more than 140 percent by 2025 from 2017 adjusted earnings, assuming an oil price of $60 per barrel and based on 2017 margins.

MacArtney HQ has recently repurposed the old salmon smoking facility (Lakserøgeri) in Hjerting to accommodate a new 2500sqm facility that incorporates new workshop space for Electronics, Fibre Optics, Cabling and Mechanics. Having expanded five-fold on the footprint of the original workshop the new facility now provides workshop technicians with a bright, open and purposeful space.

Wärtsilä has successfully completed the installation and operational staff training for its Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) solution in the ports of Lisbon and Setúbal / Sesimbra in Portugal. The systems will increase the efficiency of these ports by reducing waiting time for vessels and allowing just-in-time pilotage. The state-of-the-art solution has been developed and supplied by Transas, a Wärtsilä company. The project was booked in July 2018 and completed in January 2019.
