Sea Machines Robotics, a Boston-based developer of autonomous technology for marine vessels, announces the successful completion of product sea trials of the company’s introductory line of intelligent command and control systems, developed for the demanding challenges of offshore commercial, scientific and government applications.

Unique Group, a world leading integrated subsea and offshore solution provider, has announced that its Marine & Subsea division has entered into a high value contract with the Southern African Shipyards to provide a turnkey package for Hydrographic Survey vessels and Hydrographic office set up.

Subsea 7 announces the award of a sizeable (1) contract by Fieldwood Energy to Subsea Integration Alliance(2), a global partnership between Subsea 7 and OneSubsea, a Schlumberger company. The award is for the deepwater Katmai field development in the US Gulf of Mexico's Green Canyon 40.

The high-voltage cable system from NKT is now ready to transmit renewable energy from the Rentel offshore wind farm to the Belgian power grid. When in operation the offshore wind farm will provide green energy to 300,000 households supporting the national target of 13 % of the power consumption to be covered by renewable energy by 2020. Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (“Shell”), and its bid consortium member Chevron Brasil Óleo & Gás Ltda (“Chevron”), have won a 35-year production sharing contract for the Saturno pre-salt block located off the coast of Brazil in the Santos Basin. Shell will pay its share of the total signing bonus for the block, equating to approximately USD $390 million [R$ 1,562 billion].

Equinor has signed an agreement to acquire Chevron’s 40% operated interest in the Rosebank project, one of the largest undeveloped fields on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). Once concluded, the transaction will strengthen Equinor’s UK portfolio, which includes the Mariner development, attractive exploration opportunities and three producing offshore wind farms.
