The main stage at Underwater Intervention 2019 will feature a two-part industry panel discussion on the future of the subsea oilfield. Hosted by BP, the discussions will focus on the direction of the Subsea Oil & Gas Infrastructure’s Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) market.

Subsea 7 S.A. has announced the award of a contract by Tullow Ghana Limited on the Jubilee field, offshore Ghana, in water depths of up to 1000 meters. The engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract is awarded under a consortium comprising Subsea 7 Volta Contractors and NOV Oil & Gas Services Ghana Ltd. This award is a sizeable(1) contract for Subsea 7.

Avondale Marine LLC, a joint venture between Virginia-based T. Parker Host and Illinois-based Hilco Redevelopment Partners, has finalized the purchase of the 250-acre Avondale Shipyard property from Huntington Ingalls Industries. This marks a critical step towards bringing Avondale, once the largest employer in Louisiana, back into commerce.
