Eco Wave Power is pleased to announce that Capitania do Porto do Douro (Port Authority of the Douro), in Portugal, has provided an approval for the installation of a Spotter Buoy in proximity to Barra do Douro breakwater, with the purpose of collecting wave data for Eco Wave Power’s planned wave energy project in the region.

Jan De Nul Group completed the installation of all 21 offshore wind turbines for the 109.2 MW Taiwan Power Company Offshore Windfarm Phase 1 Project – Demonstration, including the installation of all subsea cables. The project teams of Jan De Nul and Hitachi now proceed with the termination and commissioning process of the complete offshore wind farm.

In order to increase renewable energy production in offshore waters and help the Administration meet its commitment to deploy 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy by 2030, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) have entered into an agreement in support of planning and reviewing renewable energy projects on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).

A Fugro-led consortium that includes AS Mosley and the University of Strathclyde has designed a mooring line fatigue tracker that safely and cost-effectively monitors offshore floating wind turbines, thanks to innovation funding from the Scottish Government.
