The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) is successfully expanding its reach in the North American offshore wind sector thanks to its membership in the Business Network for Offshore Wind (BNOW), the organization dedicated to building a network designed to usher the U.S. into the offshore wind market.

CSA Ocean Sciences will be exhibiting at the Business Network for Offshore Wind International Partnering Forum (IPF). The conference, held in Richmond, VA from August 24 – 26, will bring the global offshore wind industry together for information transfer and discussion on the burgeoning U.S. offshore wind market.

The delivery of what will be Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm took has taken another major step forward as the first jacket superstructures, destined for the 1.1GW Seagreen project arrived at Port of Nigg in Cromarty Firth, ahead of their upcoming installation in the deep waters of the North Sea, 27km off the Scottish coast near Angus.

CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA), a marine environmental consulting and survey company, recently completed a series of geophysical surveys as part of an ongoing campaign of nearshore multidisciplinary marine surveys in support of an offshore wind development project off the Northeastern United States. Since May 2021, CSA’s R/V Dolphin and crew of expert marine surveyors has conducted over 10,000 hours of fieldwork along a critical export cable route.

As part of the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to creating nearly 80,000 jobs through developing 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy by 2030, the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) announces two actions advancing the federal wind leasing process offshore California. 

Swedish floating windfarm developer Hexicon has completed its acquisition of the Wave Hub renewable energy test site in Cornwall, South West England, paving the way for a £100m-plus floating demonstrator project in the Celtic Sea by 2025.
