Saipem has been awarded three new contracts (one onshore and two offshore) by the New Gas Consortium composed by two wholly owned subsidiaries of Azule Energy (Eni Angola Exploration B.V. and BP Exploration (Angola) Limited), Sonangol P&P, Chevron, TotalEnergies, for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) activities relevant to the Quiluma & Maboqueiro fields development project off the northwest coast of Angola.

38 high-impact[1] exploration wells were drilled in the first half of 2022, similar to the same period in 2021 when 39 wells completed. The 38 wells resulted in 13 potentially commercial discoveries at a 34% commercial success rate, delivering ~6bnboe of discovered resource.

Eni informs that it has acquired the company Export LNG Ltd, which owns the Tango FLNG floating liquefaction facility, from Exmar group. The facility will be used by Eni in the Republic of Congo, as part of the activities of the natural gas development project in the Marine XII block, in line with Eni's strategy to leverage gas equity resources.

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract1 from Shell UK for the delivery of a not permanently attended installation (NPAI) for the Jackdaw gas field. Located east of Aberdeen in the North Sea, the field at peak production rates, could represent over 6% of projected UK North Sea gas production in the middle of this decade.

Aker BP (operator) and licence partners Petoro and LOTOS Exploration & Production Norge submitted a plan for development and operation (PDO) for Trell & Trine to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE). This development will utilise the planned extended lifetime for the Alvheim field, increase production and reduce both unit costs and CO2 per barrel.

C-Kore Systems recently completed a successful campaign on a subsea oil field located in the North Sea. The C-Kore tools were used to test the electrical integrity of the subsea assets, giving quick feedback to the operator for their maintenance decisions on the field.
