SolstadFarstad and Yxney Maritime AS have completed a pilot project to develop and roll out the Yxney fuel efficiency and emission reduction software MarESS. During the pilot, the combination of MarESS and skilled crews generated significant fuel savings for SolstadFarstad and their clients, leading to the contract for implementation for the entire fleet.

Iskes Towage & Salvage, a leading maritime service provider based in the port of IJmuiden/Amsterdam, has taken delivery of two Damen ASD Tugs 2810. The vessels were built at Damen Song Cam Shipyards, Vietnam, and delivered last year to Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, the Netherlands, as part of the group’s strategy to position stock vessels for rapid availability in Europe.

The very first version of ENC Bathymetry Plotter – SevenCs’ new contouring solution for nautical charts – was released in summer 2016. Simwave B.V. and Kongsberg Digital have successfully completed the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) of one of the largest, most advanced maritime simulation suites ever delivered. The successful SAT, which took place on Friday, 19th January, means that the brand new Simwave Maritime Center of Excellence in Barendrecht, Rotterdam is now fully operational.
