More than 1800 suppliers in over 250 business sectors in 152 Norwegian municipalities delivered goods and services to the operation of Equinor’s fields on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) and onshore facilities in 2021. The value of the deliveries exceeds NOK 70 billion, representing close to 60 000 man-years in Norway, according to a new report by Bodø Science Park (KPB).

Aker Solutions and alliance partner Aker BP are awarding Rosenberg Worley a letter of intent (LOI) for the construction of two modules for the new central platform on the Valhall field in the North Sea. This contract represents the largest new-build project in many years, and it will lead to 1,000 jobs at Rosenberg in Stavanger.

Damen has delivered a CSD650 to HAC Cranes for an end user in Kuwait. The stationary dredger, named GD4000, was mobilized from stock and outfitted, inspected and delivered from the yard to its final destination, all in just 44 days from contract signature. After some modification work and the installation of some extra onboard options in Kuwait, the dredger will be put into operation by Gulf Dredging.

Fugro has been awarded a marine site characterization contract by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for the Sørlige Nordsjø II offshore wind farm. This will include mapping the seafloor and sub-seafloor to expand understanding of the site’s geological features and support future developmental phases of the project.

Helix Robotics Solutions Inc., the U.S. Robotics division of Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (NYSE: HLX), has extended its agreement with Bordelon Marine, LLC to charter the DP2 Jones Act-compliant Ultra-Light Intervention Vessel (ULIV) M/V Shelia Bordelon through June 2024.

HelixHelix currently primarily operates the vessel to support Offshore Renewables and Inspection, Repair & Maintenance (IRM) activities for clients operating in U.S. waters. Recently, Helix contracted the Shelia Bordelon to support the rapidly expanding wind farm industry offshore the U.S. East Coast.

Designed as a fuel-efficient intervention vessel, the Shelia Bordelon features an NOV 50-ton active heave compensating crane with 3,000 meters of wire, a mezzanine deck with internal offices, centralized online survey suite, offline data processing space and two Triton 200HP ROVs with high spec survey capabilities.
