Oceaneering International, Inc. Norwegian subsidiary, Oceaneering AS, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kontiki Winds AS (a Havfram AS company) to jointly pursue the application of floating offshore wind for remote microgrid renewable power generation to electrify offshore assets such as oil and gas production as well as other small scale power generation opportunities among island states currently producing electricity by fossil fuel.

The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) has launched the latest edition of its annual Global Gas Outlook 2050 (Outlook), in the presence of the 2023 President of the GECF, HE Gabriel M. Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons, Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

Oceaneering International announces its Offshore Projects Group (OPG) segment has won a contract from Ocyan to support a decommissioning project offshore Brazil. The scope of work includes subsea specialized tooling to perform the decommissioning of subsea infrastructure related to three floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels offshore Brazil.

The US is on course to more than double its gas liquefaction capacity over the next five years. With three projects slated for final investment decision this year, the country’s annual LNG export capacity is expected to reach 169 million metric tons by 2027, placing it far ahead of the world’s second-largest exporter, Qatar.

Vallourec has recently secured important orders from LLOG Exploration Offshore, one of the U.S.’s largest privately-owned exploration and production companies, for the supply of 25,000 metric tons of line pipe for its upcoming landmark Salamanca deep-water development off the US coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

Global Maritime recently completed the Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) scope for another removal campaign in Southern North Sea, making a total of ten successful campaigns in the region over the last four years for three different clients and five removal contractors.

This latest project consisted of the removal of four platforms by offshore contractors AF Decom and DEME with vessel ‘Orion’, including Vanguard QD, North Valiant SP, South Valiant TD, and Vulcan RD. All structures were transported and loaded at Able UK, Hartlepool, where they will be dismantled for recycling.
