McDermott International, Inc., along with its partners, Chiyoda International Corporation and Zachry Group, announces that the first commissioning cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been shipped from the Freeport LNG project on Quintana Island in Freeport, Texas. Feed gas was introduced into Freeport LNG Train 1 on July 22 and today's announcement of first cargo is a precursor to completion of Train 1.

SMD unveiled their electric Work Class ROV at Offshore Europe last week. Their new Quantum/EV ROV introduces electric drive technology to the subsea sector in an optimized, modular package which brings Work Class ROV performance and capability to a new level.

Harvey Gulf announces that its two PSV 3250’s arrived without incident in Nigeria on August 12, 2019 and immediately began one-year contracts. Sonadrill Holding Ltd (“Sonadrill”), Seadrill Limited’s (“Seadrill”) 50:50 joint venture with an affiliate of Sonangol E.P. (“Sonangol”), has secured a nine well contract with six options, each for one well, in Angola for the Libongos drillship. The estimated total contract value is $101 million with commencement expected late Q3 2019 and running to early 2021.

Allseas, a global leader in offshore pipeline installation, heavy lift and subsea construction, has chosen WFS Technologies’ new Seatooth® Pipelogger for the real time measurement of process temperature on a subsea pipeline system which they have installed recently. The pipeline system is designed to have a total gas throughput capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters per year.
