Bollinger Shipyards LLC (“Bollinger”) has made several leadership announcements following the recent acquisition of Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding (BMS) and Bollinger Mississippi Repair (BMR).

Saab has signed a contract with the Polish State Treasury Armament Agency for design, production and support of two ships for Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) for Poland. The total order value corresponds to approximately EUR 620 million with deliveries planned during 2027. The order is expected to be booked by Saab before year end.

The Smart Maritime Council, a cross-industry membership group focused on technology harmonization, standardization and interoperability, has released a new set of best practice guidelines for data ownership and access in the maritime sector, providing a recommended list of data control issues for shipping companies and technology providers to consider when discussing contracts for the supply of shipboard systems.

Harbor tugs Dóris and Tétis are successfully operating in the Portuguese Port of Leixões, near the city of Porto, following very short-term delivery by Damen Shipyards. The vessels can perform a wide variety of towing, pushing and indirect towing operations that ideally suit the confined space inside the harbor.
