The Business Network for Offshore Wind has announced a new partnership with Vineyard Wind to educate Massachusetts businesses about opportunities in the offshore wind sector and integrate small businesses as well as those owned by minorities, women, veterans, service-disabled veterans, those with a disability, and LGBT individuals into the local supply chain.

As part of the Biden-Harris administration’s goals of permitting 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy capacity by 2030 and deploying 15 gigawatts of floating offshore wind energy capacity by 2035, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) today announced it has completed its environmental review of potential impacts from offshore wind energy leasing activities in the Morro Bay Wind Energy Area (WEA), located 20 miles offshore central California.

The world is facing a global energy crisis and increased prices for energy. Governments and companies are investing more and more in renewables, energy efficiency and clean technologies. The urge to switch to renewable energy is greater than ever, and concrete actions must be made now in order to accelerate the energy transition.

The “International Conference on Ocean Energy & Ocean Energy Europe 2022” (ICOE-OEE 2022), the world's leading ocean energy event, will bring together ocean energy professionals and decision-makers from all corners of the globe to Donostia/San Sebastian, from 18-20 October. The event is co-organized by the Basque Energy Cluster Association (ACE) and Ocean Energy Europe (OEE).
