Successful Production Start at Eldfisk North in the North Sea

The production start is some weeks ahead of plan—“a result of great dedication, efficiency and collaboration”, according to Rune Oldervoll, SVP Production in Vår Energi.

Oldervoll adds: “The Eldfisk North development project is a great example of why we consider the Norwegian Continental Shelf to be the most attractive place to be for a growing E&P company like Vår Energi. The Eldfisk North delivery is the result of dedication and efficiency by the operator ConocoPhillips, one of our key partners in the North Sea. The production start marks another milestone in our strategy for growth and long-term value creation and supports our production growth target of 400 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day by end 2025.”

The Eldfisk North comprises three subsea templates located approximately seven kilometers from the Eldfisk Complex. The total resource potential is in the range of 50-90 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Eldfisk North is located in PL018, and the licensees are Vår Energi ASA (12.388%), TotalEnergies EP Norge AS (39.896%), operator ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS (35.112%), Sval Energi AS (7.604%) and Petoro AS (5.000%).
