Transocean Ltd. has announced a three-year award for the newbuild ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Aquila with a national oil company for work offshore Brazil. The contract is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2024 and represents approximately $486 million in firm backlog, excluding a mobilization fee of approximately 90 times the contract dayrate.

On the occasion of the meeting held in Paramaribo between Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, His Excellency Chandrikapersad Santokhi, President of the Republic of Suriname, and Annand Jagesar, CEO of Staatsolie, TotalEnergies has announced the launching of the development studies for a large oil project in Block 58, offshore Suriname. TotalEnergies is the operator of Block 58, with a 50% interest, alongside APA Corporation (50%). 

Nauticus Robotics, Inc., a developer of ocean robots and artificial intelligence for autonomous services to the offshore industries, announces its entry into a service contract with Shell plc. The initial scope of work includes inspection services on a Shell subsea field development in the Gulf of Mexico, and the contract contemplates visible future inspection service projects.

ProSep, a global leader of produced water solutions and technologies, has announced it has secured a contract for produced water treatment on Aker BP’s Norwegian-based Valhall new central processing and wellhead platform (PWP).
