Danos Installs Vent Boom for Shell Pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico

Danos completed a project to fabricate and install a vent boom for Shell Pipeline Company LP. The newly installed vent boom stands approximately 35 feet tall and replaced an existing vent tower on a Gulf of Mexico offshore facility.

Employees representing several Danos service lines including fabrication, construction, coatings, scaffolding and instrumentation and electrical worked on the project. The Danos team completed fabrication in its Larose shop in mid-September and then shipped the structure offshore for construction and installation, which was finished in late October.

"We are immensely proud of our team's dedication and expertise in delivering exceptional results. This successful job completion underscores our dedication to excellence and reaffirms commitment to our company purpose of solving big challenges for our customers. We look forward to a continued partnership with Shell Pipeline,” said CEO Paul Danos.
