Berg Propulsion has secured its first new tug order in Türkiye since the opening of Berg Propulsion Eurasia in April 2022 - the entity which has been revitalizing the well-known marine equipment brand regionally. The company has been contracted to provide a range of propulsion and control equipment for a harbor tug to be built at İÇDAŞ Shipyard.


Steerprop, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance propulsion systems has been awarded a major order to supply the complete propulsion package for a state-of-the-art Wind Installation Vessel (WIV). The order builds upon Steerprop’s extensive support and successful track record in delivering fit-for-purpose solutions to the offshore renewables sector.


Damen Shipyards Group’s order book rose to a company record of 8.8 billion euros as at year-end 2021. Part of that rise was due to the acquisition of an order for no fewer than 99 vessels at the Workboats division and a record number of orders for Damen Yachting. After three loss-making years, the Netherlands’ largest shipbuilder was back in the black in 2021.
