Howden, a leading global provider of mission critical air and gas handling products, technologies and services, has opened a new office in Singapore to expand its existing presence and support in APAC.

The new Howden office, located at 28 Ayer Rajah Crescent, provides improved access to the company’s procurement, quality control, technical assistance and project execution in Singapore and other countries in Southeast Asia. As a business with a strong reputation for customer support and air and gas handling solutions, this office brings Howden experts closer to hand for vital industries and to support regional customers.

Howden has been present in Singapore for over 31 years as a hub for Southeast Asia, initially for compressors, and expanding to the full product range of fans, heaters, and steam turbines. The new office will support Howden’s strategy to grow across wastewater, hydrogen, energy & renewables and power generation sectors across Southeast Asia, and more widely Asia Pacific, as the office serves as the hub for Howden’s activities in the region.

Camille Levy, President of the Asia Pacific Region at Howden, comments: “The opening of our new office in Singapore comes on the back of the growth we are experiencing in Southeast Asia, particularly in wastewater, hydrogen, power generation, cement and petrochemicals. It confirms our significant role and strong reputation as the source of knowledge, expertise and innovation which contributes to the energy transition and provides support for our customers’ vital processes.

“The new office brings Howden even closer to our partners and customers so we can better support them through additional engineering, parts and aftermarket services. It offers additional collaborative space to enable better interactions within Howden teams. It also offers expanded training facilities for our customers and internal commercial and field service engineering teams.”

“Howden has a long history of strength in both traditional and emerging sectors in Singapore and neighboring countries in Southeast Asia. We already support over 1,300 installed equipment within Singapore and neighboring countries in Southeast Asia and are growing both our original equipment manufacturer, aftermarket, retrofit and service support in response to customer demand.”

Howden focuses on helping customers increase the energy efficiency and effectiveness of their air and gas handling processes enabling them to make sustainable improvements in their environmental impact. Howden designs, manufactures and supplies products, solutions and services to customers around the world across highly diversified end-markets and geographies.

The business recently announced its target to be carbon Net Zero by 2035 through the purchase of renewable energy and carbon free energy; efficiency gains from energy conservation measures; and by renewable energy projects at its manufacturing facilities. The largest impact the business will have on global sustainability will be through its partnership with customers to supply equipment that will make a major impact on their carbon emissions and sustainability.
