Castrol, one of the world’s leading lubricant brands, has launched Transaqua™ SP-HC, a new hydraulic control fluid under its Transaqua range. The fluid has been formulated for use as the control fluid in subsea production control systems, delivering all-round subsea production system protection.

SAF™ 3007 is the latest addition to the growing duplex family of Alleima, a super-duplex stainless steel grade developed for subsea umbilicals. The new tube offers a safe, lighter, stronger and more efficient alternative to SAF 2507, the current standard. With superior strength, fatigue properties and excellent corrosion resistance, SAF 3007 delivers superior performance in harsh deepwater environments.

QatarEnergy has announced that it is proceeding with a new LNG expansion project, the “North Field West” project, to further raise the State of Qatar’s LNG production capacity to 142 million tons per annum (MTPA) before the end of this decade, representing an increase of almost 85% from current production levels.

In the occasion of the first shipment of LNG from the Republic of the Congo, the President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou-N'Guesso, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eni Giuseppe Zafarana, and the CEO of Eni Claudio Descalzi celebrated the successful start-up of LNG production in the country. With the first cargo, the Republic of the Congo enters the group of LNG exporting countries, opening up opportunities for economic growth while contributing to global energy balance.

Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. has secured a deepwater well intervention contract award by Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Ltd.(“Esso”). The project, located offshore Nigeria in the Erha and Usan fields, is expected to commence in September 2024 with the vessel expected to be in Nigeria into 2025. The fields are located approximately 97 km offshore of Nigeria in water depths ranging from 700 m to 1,500 m.
